Artificial intelligence vs. machine learning

Today, when the mainstream media reports on artificial intelligence (AI), it often uses that term in conjunction with machine learning (ML), sometimes to the point that these are meant to explain the same thing. However, while both AI and ML fall into closely related fields, these are not identical studies – but both present opportunities in the field of data science.
